Personal Background
Chip, a native of Houston, Texas, pursued his passion for music at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, where he majored in Music History & Literature. With a lifelong dedication to the piano, he continues to hone his skills daily.
Chip spent 15 years designing business telephone and voicemail systems, working across Ohio and California before settling in Sacramento in 1995. Alongside his professional pursuits, Chip finds joy in hobbies such as playing piano, gardening, and collecting art, enriching his life in the South Land Park community.
Chip received his Real Estate license and joined the Coldwell Banker team in 1999 and has since obtained his Brokers license in 2014. He is a Broker Associate in the Sacramento Metro office located on McKinley Park. He is also licensed in the state of Hawaii and is associated with the Coldwell Banker Diamond Head/Kahala office.
Chip is very involved with the local community. He is former Vice-President of the South Land Park Neighborhood Association, past President of the Art Service Group, a former fundraising organization benefiting the Crocker Art Museum, current treasurer for the Ka'onohi Foundation which sponsors the Sacramento Aloha Festival promoting the Native Hawaiian culture, a 2010 graduate of the Sacramento City Management Academy and a 2018 graduate of the Sacramento Citizens Academy. He volunteers extensively at the Sacramento Association of Realtors where he is a member of the Board of Directors serving as liaison to the Metrolist MLS Committee (Chair), an SAR Scholarship Trustee, a member of the SAR Scholarship Fundraising Committee, the Government Affairs Committee and Global Real Estate Task Force. He is a past Director for the California Association of Realtors serving on various committees.
